 Woodson Terrace Municipal Court “21st DIVISION ST. LOUIS COUNTY” INFORMATION PAGE

Your CASE INFORMATION is AVAILABLE to you 24/7!!! JUST visit municourt.net OR courts.mo.gov. Read below or visit this page to determine which court system you are in.

If you do not have personal access to an Online System, access is available at local libraries, OR you may appear at the court windows in the Government Building with proof of State DL or ID. Clerks have no way of verifying over the phone you are the Defendant. Defendants, if you have a question about a Lieu of Bail Hold, or questions not answered through your online research, or you fall within one of the exceptions below, please call back and state this at the beginning of your call.

When talking with the Court Clerks, it is best to have your Ticket # available.

We are holding both “in person court” and “virtual court” simultaneously.

“In Person Court” is for 1 hour only; 5pm to 6pm. The outer doors will open at 4:45pm for admittance into the building (not the court room). We advise during unsatisfactory weather conditions you remain in your vehicles until 4:45pm. Once you enter the building you will remain in the Lobby until the Court Room Doors open at 5pm. The outer doors are locked promptly at 6pm. Those already in attendance in the court room will exit after they have seen the Judge.

“Virtual Court”, remains under the same guidelines as given on the WebEx Information Notice; click below, or check your email address you provided, or your *last known/given USPS address.

Please click here for WebEx Virtual Hearing Access Instructions

Appearance is Required either In Person OR Virtually.

CITATIONS are NOT IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE FOR PAYMENT;

Please search online after 5 business days of the issue date to see if it is available.

NOT ALL CHARGES ARE PAYABLE OUT OF COURT; A COURT APPEARANCE MAY BE REQUIRED.

Please View the Violations Bureau Schedule of Offenses and Fines for those Allowable Charges to plead out of court by clicking here.

REGARDING PAYMENT, CASE STATUS, AND WARRANT

Case Status is usually updated within 2 wks from your last court date.

A case Represented by Attorney is NOT payable online.

Which Court System Is My Case In?

MuniCourt.Net is an Online System created by REJIS, designed for people to follow their court case 24/7, for those DEFENDANTS who received their citations PRIOR To and Including JAN 26, 2020; you are in the PLUS Court System.  You may pay an Allowable Minor Traffic Violation (MTV), or fines previously assessed by the Judge (NOT a recommendation) on line. Muni Court does provide you your Citation Number needed to pay online.

Again, please View this link for those allowable charges.

Case Net is a Judicial response in Missouri to an Online System designed for people to follow their court case 24/7. Case Net would apply for those DEFENDANTS who received their citations SINCE JAN. 28, 2020 you are in the New Statewide SHOW ME COURT SYSTEM (SMC). Please click here for online payment. If your citation is a MTV, a Plead and Pay option to pay on-line is available up to the court date given on your citation.

Citations issued on Jan. 27, 2020 will need to search in both PLUS and SMC.

If you have received fines from the Judge (NOT a recommendation), Pay by Web is available as well.

When Paying Your Citation in Advance of Your Court Date at the Court Building;

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR STATE ID or DL with You.

Your successful payment of your citation in advance and out of court will complete your case.

Your payment of your citation constitutes a plea of guilty to the offense charged on the citation and a waiver of your rights of appearance and trial. The Dept. of Revenue will assess points against your driving record as required by law for any offence (e.g. moving violations) that carries points; (https://dor.mo.gov/forms/899.pdf)

If you believe that you are not guilty of the offense charged on your citation, then you appear before the Judge (not court clerks) on the court date given on your citation.

PAYMENTS can be made at the court windows Mon thru Fri beginning at 8:45 a.m. until;

3pm for SMC (w/the exception of holidays)

4pm for PLUS (w/the exception of holidays, and court dates at 3pm)

If your case is in WARRANT status, here are your options to have your Warrant Cancelled;

1) POST a $100.00 cash bond at the Woodson Terrace Police Station, 9a.m. to 4p.m. with a Police Clerk. Have your state DL or ID with you. A court date will be issued to you and then you go to the court windows for the needed information for that court date. If you have fines, or the charge is a MTV, you can opt to pay in full at the court windows and your case will be completed.

2) If you cannot afford a $100.00 cash bond at this time, you can come to the court windows at the Government Building during court business hours and the court clerks will provide you a form for statement of indigency in lieu of posting a cash bond, which will be filed in your case jacket as an official document.

3) Retain an attorney.

Once a bond is posted and a Court Date issued, the bond may be applied toward your fines, depending upon case disposition. A Bond Consent Form must be filled out, and have your State DL or ID with you.

Exceptions to Online Search

Defendants who received their citations PRIOR TO 2010 will need to talk directly to a court clerk, as these tickets do not have online access. Please advise the clerk at the beginning of your call you are calling regarding this exception.

Court Staff cannot provide continuances. If you missed your court date due to an emergency, proof of that emergency should be faxed to 314-427-0571 to the attention of court.

*This is the reason why it is your responsibility to notify the court with a change of address, or if your address is different than the address on your citation, the court would not possibly know when someone has had a change of address unless advised. Following this rule “could” be one step to preventing finding yourself in Warrant Status.

If you are represented by an Attorney, you would want to call your attorney in lieu of court staff.
